Hello everyone,
I’m Shelby Schwartz. I’m 27, blue eyes, brown hair, and I’m short. Maybe you don’t need to know all of that, you probably looked at the about page to see what I look like. Either way, I’m new to the blogging thing. I never thought about it, but I thought it would help people who enjoy reading my book, get to know me and get in touch with me.
I am a Marine Corps veteran. I was in for 4 years until I got medically separated out. I may or may not tell some stories about when I was in. No I did not deploy. I was one of the so called lucky ones who got to stay stateside their whole military career. I was a motor transportation operator. I drove big trucks. I had many licenses. I really miss my job then. I would go back if I could. But that was 5 years ago, not sure I could go back.
I started really getting into writing the first two years after I got out of the Corps. I started by writing fanfiction. No I will not tell you what kind of fanfiction. But I did find out I was good at writing. My stories became huge hits. It got me excited about it. So, I wrote a short story book called Defenseless Against the End. It has six short stories and only one of them have a happy ending. I became fascinated with death. I like to see my characters suffer. Yeah I know its a little twisted, but there are plenty of people out there like me. That have a dark side to them.
Then about a year and a half later, while I was in collage, I wrote my second book, a novel, called The Emeralds Reaper. I’ll explain more about that in a different post. I wrote the sequel for that book almost exactly a year later. Now I’m working on the third book to the trilogy. I’m super excited and can’t wait to share it with everyone.
